Hi everyone,

I'm a PhD student at Queen Mary University of London looking at how programming
language design can impact our programming practice, and how that knowledge can
be used to better design languages for certain groups or tasks.

To that end, you are invited to take part in a survey that seeks to gather
information of the different programming practices that exist in the context of
interactive audio software development. I have had a good number of responses
from other music programming communities, but I'm trying to cast a wide net to
get a more diverse set of responses.

The survey has the usual affair of demographic and "rate-your-agreement"
questions, but the bulk of the survey is an exercise that involves rating a
number of programming language features based on how much they impact your
programming practice (and whether that impact is negative or positive). The
survey is expected to take around 45 minutes, although you are able to leave
and come back at any time.

Participants should have at least some experience developing interactive audio
applications, although that can encompass anything from interactive
installations, physical computing, or digital instruments.

You can find the link to the survey here:
https://pd-andy.github.io/programming-practice-questionnaire/ this link will
resume your progress if you leave part-way through!

If you cannot invest the time to complete the survey (45 minutes is quite long,
I know), I'd appreciate if you could pass it on to anyone you think might be
interested or suitable to take part.
