The Computer Science and Experimental Music Creation and Research Studio
(SCRIME, https://scrime.u-bordeaux.fr/) is recruiting:

   - a software platform engineer on a renewable 1-year fixed-term
   contract.

Located on the Peixotto campus (Sciences and technologies) of the
University of Bordeaux and relying on a community of researchers and
artists, SCRIME provides the scientific and cultural community with a range
of R&D services in science, techniques and arts of sound and music.
The SCRIME was set up by the Bordeaux Computer Science Research Laboratory
(LaBRI). Its aim is to provide researchers and artists with an integrated
set of complex hardware and software tools for scientific and artistic
experimentation.

*Engineer's missions*
Within the SCRIME and in relation with the LaBRI, the software platform
engineer ensures the management, development, maintenance in operational
condition, operation and support to users of the platform software

*Main activities* :
- Check the relevance and functional performance of the platform's software
- Propose application evolutions (functional or technical)
- Participate in the software development of the platform
- Participate in the definition and enforce service level agreements
- Pool best practices in the use of platform software
- Resolve or report incidents and optimize performance
- Effectively control and plan changes to applications and / or software
- Participate in the development of consultation, control and management
tools (scripts, procedures, requests, reporting)
- Anticipate changes and their impacts on the platform's productions
- Write functional and technical documentation
- Participate in the training of users and contributors to the platform

Digital audio studio applications: sequencers (audacity, OSSIA-score,
reaper, Abbleton Live)
