Hello, list. Here is a stereo look-ahead limiter, similar to the ones in compressors.lib, but with a few important improvements: https://github.com/dariosanfilippo/limiterStereo.
Specifically, I am using four cascaded one-pole filters for smooth amplitude profiling, and eight cascaded peak-holders set to holdTime/8, which allows for secondary peaks to be detected if at least holdTime/8 + 1 sample apart from the primary peak. The overshooting is only about .002 dB with a 120 dB boost and the distortion seems to be very low with reasonable settings. Please report any bugs if you find any.
