This is more of an inconvenience than a bug.
I've found that when applying multiple properties to a selection, such as
font color and background color, multiple span tags are used.
fckeditor produces:
<span style="color: #FF0000"><span style="background:
#FFFF00">Test</span></span>
instead of:
<span style="color: #FF0000; background: #FFFF00">Test</span>
