Actually, it's a case by case situation. The <span> tag has been used for
pure labels, while <div> for "labeled fields".
All that is supposed to be handled internal in the editor, being
completely transparent to the end user and end developer.
How exactly is is impacting at your side, to consider it a valid issue?
