Comment:

I've been thinking about it... and I'm not 100% sure on how we should
 proceed with it.

I doubt JAWS will understand it as a combo. It's technically a link, and
we could try making it understandable as a combo maybe using ARIA, which
 is not well supported yet.

So, I'm putting myself in the position of a visual impaired person, just
hearing the screen reader, with no visual clue that it should be a combo.
At that point, I just hear the combos being announced just like any other
"command" (note... not button) in the toolbar. So, for the font combo,
"Font Style" is read. If I hit ENTER to execute the "command" (not combo),
the first option should get read: "Arial" (and this may be a bug, as it's
not reading it right now). Hitting TAB, I will just hear that other font
style names get read, so I would easily understand that I'm over the
options now. Hitting ENTER for the one I want and I'm done (not that a
visual impaired person really cares about the font, but just to
 exemplify).

So, if we don't try to transform what we visualize into expected
accessibility behavior, the current system sounds much usable.

 Does it makes sense?
