We finally reproduced conditions when SCAYT freezes in IE. We need to fix
this problem in the SCAYT core. SCAYT freezes right after the point symbol
is typed (as described in Martin's screencast).
The problem is actual for all IE.
We'll update this ticket when the problem will be resolved.
