This is a difficult one, but...

if you get LAPLINK, it can send itself via rs232 to another
machine (it you have DOS, of course). Then you should be
able to send the files that you need.

The problem is that the moment when you change the boot
sector and the kernel, you may either get a FreeDos machine
or a very nice piece of junk and no way to boot it ever again :(
