I am pleased to announce that Free FDISK 1.1.4
(BETA) is now available. A copy can be downloaded from the link at: http://www.23cc.com/free-fdisk.
If anyone is using a beta version from 1.01 to
1.1.3, I highly recommend that you replace it with this version. I have
discovered a nasty bug that can result in hard disk corruption if a logical dos
drive, in the extended partition table, is deleted. This version fixes
this problem.
Changes:
1. Fixed hard disk corruption bug, mentioned
above.
2. Verified that creating partitions, by
percentage in the interactive user interface, results in partitions that have
the same sizes as partitions created by other partitioning
utilities.
3. Non-dos logical drives are now displayed
when using the /dump and /info command-line options.
4. 2GB FAT16 partitions now have a maximum
size of 2047MB, for compatibility.
5. Extensive testing was performed with a
20GB hard drive.
Enjoy!
