Hi Susan, I did the interviews with them last year and there were two rounds of interviews...the first was on a Saturday and there were about 120 people being interviewed (though Im guessing it will be a lot less this year!). The first interview was quite basic, you meet two partners and they tell you about themselves and the firm and ask you questions about your CV... just elaborating on what you wrote really. It only lasted about 10 minutes if I remember correctly!
A few days later I got asked back for a second interview. It was with two other partners and definitely more intense...but you could also have anticipated most of the questions - why law, why O Donnell Sweeney and not a Top 5 firm, tell me about a time when you showed an ability to work as part of a team etc etc. If you are asked back for a second interview, the best advice I can give you is to take your time before you answer the more difficult questions so that you don't get flustered - easier said than done, I know, but that seemed to be the main thing they were looking for. Also, it really is worth taking the time to think about what they might ask you and how to answer them, like any weaknesses in your CV and how to talk around them! :-) It makes such a difference when you've guessed some of their questions and makes it easier to cope with the ones you didnt think of!
