Hi all, Hope the study is going well and you're not too sick of the books. I don't want to plug our business too much so I'll only post an 'ad' once: if anyone is interested in grinds or revision courses, have a look at www.westlandlaw.net. We are a group of practising barristers who offer law grinds and revision courses for degree and FE1 / King's Inns entrance exam students.
Now, that said, good luck with the exams: keep the head and remember the IRAC principle for problem questions (which I'm sure you all know). identify the ISSUE which you are asked to address (I find it helpful to do this in simple enough terms) state the RULE which applies (this could be a principle from case law or statute) APPLY the rule to the facts: i.e. tick through the facts in the problem question and note which are significant to the question you have to determine and why. Even if they are obvious: often this is where even good students fall down. Don't be afraid to state the obvious: that is what lawyers spend a lot of time doing! CONCLUDE: you need to reach a conclusion on each element you consider (a mini-conclusion) and then an overall conclusion on the point on which you are asked to advise. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "FE-1 Study Group" group.
