I know what you mean. I guess that only about 5% of those who sit the FE1 actually get traineeships, which is a bigger challenge than passing the FE1's. There is a really good article in the Gazette this month on the NY Bar exam (which as far as I remember only 38% of non-us students pass) http://www.lawsociety.ie/gazette/ The cost of taking one of the prep courses in Ireland can be over €4,000. Have you considered going to the UK? Your degree might be a qualifying degree for the purpose of getting a traineeships. competition seems strong there also.
