Hi all,
Spot the lazy partial repost...but just to let you know that I'm (or,
GCD is, more accurately) pleased to
offer our Intensive One Day revision courses for the fe1 examinations.
>From my own experience in delivering these, people have had very
positive things to say in respect of feedback but bear in mind - these
are revision courses, not "spoon feed" courses and they are *not* a
substitute. The cost per subject is €150. For current Griffith FE1
students the price is €75. This breaks down into a cost of just €25 /
€12.50 per hour for specialist tuition in a small group scenario and
the provision of key exam materials. Due to the amazing success of
the Lisbon focussed materials for EU law we will repeating the
provision of those materials.
Each is six hours long and is delivered by the lecturer who actually
delivers the fe1 lectures on a week by week basis. Full informationis
on www.gcd.ie/fe1 but some of it is extracted below.
Hopefully this helps out a few people.
FIRST OFF - WHAT ABOUT LISBON AND CHANGES IN PROPERTY LAW?!!!!?
Given the changes introduce by the Lisbon Treaty, the EU Law Intensive
Revision course will provide students with special materials on the
Lisbon Treaty which will include the principal changes which this
Treaty has brought to (i) the institutions of the EU (ii) law-making
in the EU (iii) fundamental
rights (iv) the application of EU before domestic courts (v) the
procedures before the EU courts.
The Property Law Intensive Revision Course will also be delivered with
reference to key updates and changes effected by the Land and
Conveyancing Law Reform Act, 2009.
Changes made by the Act in other areas, such as contract law, will be
addressed in the relevant courses.
OK, BUT WHAT ARE THESE COURSES?
These seminars are mainly aimed at those who have been studying for
these difficult exams on their own and lets people cap-off their study
and to shape their work into the focal point necessary to get through
these exams. These are NOT "spoon-feed" courses. These seminars are
delivered with a strict cap on numbers to increase the efficacy of
face-to-face questions and answers.. The seminars are given on a one-
off basis and not recorded – this is your only chance to attend! They
entail:-
* Six hours per subject of intensive exam focused revision with
the emphasis entirely on passing FE1 exams.
* A clear and sustained focus on material not obtainable in the
textbooks such as FE1 trend analysis, examiner psychology and
preferences, past paper analysis.
* Hard copy provision of sample questions and model answers from
recent exams.
* Dissection of most recent exams
* Study of exam/subject-specific pitfalls
* Coverage of core topics which arise most frequently on FE1
examinations by the best lecturing team available.
* Our revision courses are delivered exclusively by those who
deliver the FE1 courses on a weekly basis.
HOW MUCH?
The cost per subject is €150. For current Griffith FE1 students the
price is €75. This breaks down into a cost of just €25 / €12.50 per
hour for specialist tuition in a small group scenario and the
provision of key exam materials. We firmly believe that it is
impossible to source comparable value elsewhere at such rates.
