There's no easy answer - it depends how well you study and how well you retain stuff. If you can read a substantial topic in one night and absorb it well enough to tackle questions from past papers you are fine, and more luck to you - if it takes you several readings of a topic to grasp it and you have to have the book with you to do questions....how long is a piece of string, really. It's tough going studying on your own, it helps a lot to have a few buddies to discuss things with. I did a 4-yr LLB degree at night while working full-time and it takes a lot out of you in terms of mental fatigue and information overload. I have found that the GCD revision courses are a great help.
