Sounds reasonable.

Apparently cross-compiling is in fashion nowadays. Clark is working on
something similar inside Red Hat. I suppose we need to see the patches,
but I think Clark would be most qualified to comment.

I dont see why we couldnt merge this in, as long as it is reasonable.
