You can create separate fedora datastreams to contain any metadata you want. People usually use XML-formatted metadata and put it in inline datastreams. In order to make that metadata searchable, you have to use lucene, solr, or a similar search utility to index it. GSearch is a tool to help you do that.

Once you've installed the search utility, you must configure it to index your custom fields. To do this, you must follow the search utility's documentation.

I need other specific fields not contained in the dublin core specification. They are fairly simple and shouldn't be as complicated as to create a relationship with the rel-ext, but it should be good enough to query those fields. What should i do?
