DEADLINE EXTENDED 'TIL FEB. 20

It's not too late to submit a proposal for Open Repositories 2009! The
deadline for general conference proposals has been extended to February
20th, 2009, which means you still have time.

The Open Repositories conference draws a diverse, international crowd -
a mix of programmers, librarians, system architects, repository
managers, and others. Whether you're from the academic world or the
private sector, whether your research interests focus on the back end
(repository development, digital preservation, interoperability) or the
front (scholarly communication, open access initiatives, interacting
with stakeholders)...you are guaranteed to find an audience at OR09.

But wait, there's more! Several Open Repositories 2009 presenters will
be invited to write full papers and publish in a journal that the
Conference is currently finalizing arrangements with. The journal and
this partnership will be announced soon. In the meantime, this may
become a wonderful opportunity for you to publish your work!

The conference will be held at the state-of-the-art Georgia Institute of
Technology Hotel and Conference Center and Global Learning Conference
Center, where the wireless is free and plentiful, the snacks are
abundant, and the informal motto is "Power outlets for all!"

The keynote address will be given by John Wilbanks, who runs the Science
Commons project at Creative Commons as VP of science.
