Hi list,
I've been trying to use iRODS as the storage module for Fedora by following
the installation instructions on https://www.irods.org/index.php/Fedora.
What I did is the following:
1. Do a clean install of fedora 3.2.1, with local file system as the default
storage module.
2. Start tomcat, so that fedora starts and creates the system objects.
3. Shutdown tomcat, to shut down fedora.
4. Change fedora.fcfg according to the guide above.
5. Restart tomcat.
6. Run fedora-ingest-demos.
After step 5, fedora starts up successfully (fedora.log). However, all the
objects failed during ingestion in step 6 and the error is related to iRODS.
The relevant bit for one of the objects is:
INFO 2009-10-14 16:48:14.072 [http-8080-1] (DefaultManagement) Completed
ingest(objectXML, format: info:fedora/fedora-system:FOXML-1.1, encoding:

I'm pretty sure that the iRODS settings are correct since I've created a
small test to test the connectivity to the iRODS server and files can be
created & deleted in the test.
Is there anything I'm doing wrong with this?
Best wishes
