Thanks for the feedback, but I have been using POST - I should have
given the line from the script in my original desc:

curl --user fedoraAdmin:fedoraAdmin -i --output ingest_log.txt -s -H
"Content-type: text/xml" -XPOST "http://${FEDORA_HOST}:
${FEDORA_PORT}/fedora/objects/nextPID"

Worked fine on the last box w/3.0 - trying it on the Prod box to see if
it'll break the tie
