well, the dreaded moment has come -- i need to organize my objects in collections. dreaded because i was never able to find any useful information beyond the tutorials #1 and #2 (and the website is particularly unintuitive ...).
so, i believe to have understand that a collection is basically constituded by adding a specific RELS-EXT datastream to each object in which the object states its affiliation to a collection. ie there's no particular collection object that knows about its members. my objects are basically images with describing metadata in an inline xml datastream, indexed and searched via gsearch -- does gsearch know about collections? additionally the collections should have an image attached, so i can line up the exiting collections in a web interface and add a generic thumbnail, describing the type of images contained. is that feasible? regards ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Fedora-commons-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fedora-commons-users
