The list of changes in the mets-fedora-ext1-1.xsd mentions that the structMap element has been dropped due to the content model architecture. I guess the intention is to reflect any hierarchical structure through rdf triples? This is a neat way to do if you want to split up a whole set of folders and documents into single objects. However, in my context I would prefer to have the whole bunch of datastreams within the same digital object. What would be the solution in this case if the structMap has been dropped? Maybe rdf triples which reflect relations between single datastreams and not just objects are a way? How do others handle hierarchies within single objects in Fedora 3?
