Try this.

Edit config file index.properties and comment out the
"fgsindex.defaultSortFields =
PID,AUTO,true" line or

#fgsindex.defaultSortFields =
PID,AUTO,true

And restart your Fedora or tomcat.

Subject: [Fedora-commons-users] [GSearch] search results sorting

Hi,

In my repository using FedoraGSearch 2.1.1 and the search results are not
sorted by their score.
When I perform a simple search like "RODA", 7 results are produced (it's
right), but their order doesn't make sense (see bellow).

*************************************************************************************************
1. roda:1938
(0.4204473)
ead.unittitle Apresentação do RODA no INA2006
ead.scopecontent Apresentação do RODA no 4º Congresso Nacional da
Administração Pública
--------------------------------------------------
2. roda:1936
(0.32011)
ead.unittitle Video de apresentação do RODA o INA2006
ead.scopecontent Video de apresentação do RODA na para o 4º Congresso
Nacional da Administração Pública
--------------------------------------------------
3. roda:1934
(0.4204473)
ead.unittitle Apresentação RODA na BAD2007
ead.scopecontent Aprensentação do RODA no 9o Congresso Nacional de
Bibliotecários, Arquivistas e Documentalistas.
--------------------------------------------------
4. roda:1933
(0.18471137)
ead.scopecontent Documentos variados do projecto RODA
--------------------------------------------------
5. roda:1932
(0.21549658)
ead.scopecontent Apresentações do projecto RODA
--------------------------------------------------
6. roda:1931
(0.21549658)
ead.scopecontent Relatórios do projecto RODA
--------------------------------------------------
7. roda:1930
(1.0)
ead.unitid RODA
ead.scopecontent Documentos do projecto RODA.
*************************************************************************************************

The result with the bigger score is the last one, but the order is not
ascending or descending in score.

Is their something i have to do to have the results sorted by score?

Best regards,
Rui Castro
