Remember my sad recurring problem of namespace issues in modify directives?
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.cms.fedora-commons.user/3555/focus=3687 A bug was filed: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2016238&group_id=177054&atid=879703 When we first upgraded to 2.2.4 we saw this bug go away on some of our more complex embedded xml modify directives. But today I'm doing a simple metadata modify and look, it's back. modify directive file, which is valid XML and passes the Fedora modify directives validator: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><fbm:batchModify xmlns:fbm="http://www.fedora.info/definitions/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.fedora.info/definitions/ http://www.fedora.info/definitions/1/0/api/batchModify.xsd"> <fbm:modifyDatastream pid="tufts:MS024.007.DO.03804" dsControlGroupType="X" dsID="DC" logMessage="JIRA DRINGEST-114"> <fbm:xmlData><metadata xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/TR/xlink" ID="DC"> <oai_dc:dc xmlns:oai_dc="http://www.openarchives.org/OAI/2.0/oai_dc/" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/"> <dc:title>View of the lodge at the MacJannet Camp from across Lake Annecy, ca. 1950</dc:title> <dc:creator>Unknown</dc:creator> <dc:subject>MacJannet Camp</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Talloires (France)</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Buildings</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Lodges</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Donald and Charlotte MacJannet, papers</dc:subject> <dc:description>3x5; taken from MS024/007-105 - "Photographs of MacJannet Camp, ca. 1950" The URN for this resource is: tufts:central:dca:MS024:MS024.007.DO.03804</dc:description> <dc:publisher>Digital Collections and Archives, Tufts University</dc:publisher> <dc:date>05/30/2002</dc:date> <dc:type>print --tif --jpg</dc:type> <dc:source>MS024</dc:source> <dc:relation>MS024</dc:relation> <dc:rights>http://dca.tufts.edu/ua/access/rights.html</dc:rights> </oai_dc:dc> </metadata></fbm:xmlData> </fbm:modifyDatastream> </fbm:batchModify> Error log: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <modify-batch> <failed directive="modifyDatastream" sourcePID="tufts:MS024.007.DO.03804"> fedora.server.errors.GeneralException: XML was not well-formed.
