in one of my objects i changed

<dc:subject>foo</dc:subject>

into

<dc:subject>bar</dc:subject>

but searching for

dc.subject:"foo"

still lists the object i changed recently.
even rebuilding the index did not change that -- and for other objects i
changed something in the dc-datastream (_not_ <dc:subject>) when searching

dc.subject:"foo"

shows several times the dc.subject line per object, not just once.

so, i think it is safe to assume that even the old versions of recent
datastreams are indexed which seems somehow implausible to me, at least at
a default.
am i right? and if so, how do i disable that? i want recent data only.
