Hello all,
we created a Fedora object via Fedora-Admin tool with a RELS-EXT data
stream which has a control group "Managed Content". This data stream
was automatically indexed by Fedora repository in the Resource Index. We
could update the data stream with a Fedora-Admin tool and all changes
were also reflected in the Resource Index. Is it an undocumented
feature?
The Documentation
(http://fedora-commons.org/confluence/display/FCR30/Digital+Object+Relat
ionships) say:
"The RELS-EXT Datastream should be encoded as an Inline XML Datastream,
meaning that the relationships metadata is expressed directly as XML
within the digital object XML file (as opposed the relationship metadata
existing in a separate XML file that the digital object points to by
reference)."
This feature would help us to prevent JavaHeapSpace Exceptions caused
by the handling of large FOXML files.
Thanks a lot,
Rozita
