Hi Richard,
MediaShelf put out a document a while back with examples for using curl to
access the Fedora REST API, you can download it here:

This document was written against the REST API in Fedora 3.0, so you may
need to update the calls a bit to work with Fedora 3.2. You can compare the
documentation for the current REST API (
http://fedora-commons.org/confluence/x/eAFI) with the documentation for the
the 3.0/3.1 REST API (http://fedora-commons.org/documentation/3.1/) to
determine if any changes need to be made.
