If this is the reason, take a look at
http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4508058 - it could be
down to how you're producing the files in the first place.

Could be becuase there's a byte-order mark (BOM) at the start of the file.
Is there any way you could open the FOXML file with a hex editor and report
what the first five hex characters are? If the first three are EF BB BF
then that's the problem.

Subject: [Fedora-commons-users] [fedora-ingest] SAXParseException

I've been attempting ingest into Fedora 3.2.1 using the fedora-ingest.sh
script. I have corrected several errors in my manifest file in pursuit of
the "Content is not allowed in prolog." error, but I cannot see why it does
not work. Does anyone have any pointers on this?

****

$ fedora-ingest.sh f sid/image.sid info:fedora/fedora-system:FOXML-1.1

Error  : fedora.server.errors.ObjectValidityException:
