Hi

As far as I know, OwnerID is a string, nothing more. You can modify it,
but there is no list functionality.

As far as searching goes, if the ownerId is indexed, so that
"John,Mark,Larry" is found by searching for John, you have what you
want. But that depends on the search engine.
