Hi Jeremy, When this happens, it's because one of the filters configured in a web.xml is not able to be initialised. Any particular error message is more likely to be in the catalina.out or the localhost-xxxx.log files in tomcat/logs.
Cheers, Richard > We’re just starting to evaluate Fedora 3.3 on our test server, but > Fedora alone is refusing to start (all other Tomcat applications are > starting fine). Inspection of catalina.out reveals only this: > > INFO: Deploying web application archive fedora.war > > Jan 4, 2010 12:34:01 PM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext start > > SEVERE: Error filterStart > > Jan 4, 2010 12:34:01 PM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext start > > SEVERE: Context [/fedora] startup failed due to previous errors > > With nothing else to go on (of course, there’s nothing in fedora.log, > because it’s not even getting far enough to create it). > > Initially I attempted the install as an upgrade from 3.2, and when > that didn’t work, I tried it as a stand-alone Fedora using the bundled > database.
