Hi Vamsee My thoughts on this are that the Audit datastreams are probably not the right place to store access information.
You could certainly implement this with messaging, as Eddie has suggested. Another thought is if your repositories are hosted behind Apache (eg through ajp) you could use Apache's access logs to collect this information.
