In Ireland we are looking to associate with a project that aims to build a
digital repository to cover special collections and treasures (books
manuscripts, maps and associated ephemera) using the open source Fedora
Commons Repository architecture.
Indefinite digital preservation of these unique objects ensuring continued
access is obviously key to to this project.
>From a Hardware Storage point of view we are considering EMC Celerra. We
would be most interested to identify where such a combination (Celerra -
Fedora) has been part of a heterogeneous environment in similar projects
elsewhere.
Would greatly appreciate examples, or observations.
