Hi Jörg Fedora does generate the ID for the datastream from the PID, datastream ID and datastream version ID, so this ID will as you have observed be suffixed with the datastream version identifier.
How does this affect your users? This ID is only used internally - so your users should not be exposed to this internal ID.
