Hi Jerry I've just re-run configQ here, and it passed (as part of the release process we run the configA/B/Q tests on a variety of platforms).
You're correct that 3.4.2 has that change - apologies for the blind alley there. I am surprised that it's not passing on your machine. My test procedure (I don't think there's anything significantly different from yours) was: - Install Fedora using "Quick" option from installer jar downloaded from sourceforge - Check out source from v3.4.2 tag from github - Start Tomcat - Run configQ test: -- mvn integration-test -P configQ -- (from the root of the source distro) So the only real difference is that my installer wasn't built from the local source. But I can't see that would make a difference. I have environment variables FEDORA_HOME, CATALINA_HOME, JAVA_HOME set; (a) while doing the install, (b) starting Tomcat and (c) running the test. After cross-checking the above, maybe you could: - install Fedora from stratch again (test failures sometimes leave objects in the repository which can then cause re-testing to fail) - repeat the test, capturing the output of "mvn integration-test -P configQ" to a file - let me have a copy of both the test output and the Fedora log file; together with a copy of the surefire reports as before It's possible that something in either the test output or the Fedora logs may shed some light on this. Also it would be interesting to find out if you have any similar issues with the configA/configB tests (you'll find sample install.properties for these in the source resources/scripts/test folder - you will have to customise these for your local environment).
