The accepted students & projects for Google Summer of Codeā„¢ have been
announced!

This year, DuraSpace is proud to be hosting six GSoC student projects,
including at least one project for each of our three technologies
(DSpace, Fedora and DuraCloud)! Competition was tough this year, with
over 20 student applications submitted for various technology project
ideas. But, these six students received high praise and approval from
each of our DSpace, Fedora or DuraCloud Committer teams.

Google Summer of Code officially begins on May 24th! Until then, our
mentors and students should take the next few weeks to get to know one
another, and where possible begin to flesh out more of their GSoC
project plans. See the GSoC Timeline at:
http://socghop.appspot.com/gsoc/events/google/gsoc2011

If you are interested in providing ongoing feedback to our GSoC
projects, or wish to receive more frequent updates, you should join
our public 'duraspace-gsoc' listserv:

Again, congratulations to all the students accepted into this year's
Google Summer of Code! We look forward to working with you this
summer!
