Hello everybody,
I already have experience installing Fedora-commons 3.5-SNAPSHOT on
Apache Tomcat 6.0.32, everything works fine, it means:
- Fedora-Server starts without error.
- I can list the Objects via web-browser on the address:
http://localhost:8080/fedora/objects
- Fedora-Admin both as Shell-Script and Web-Interface
(http://localhost:8080/fedora/admin) works fine, Creating new Objects,
Ingest or Purge or ... goes smoothly.
- During Installation I've activated both Messaging and Indexing, though
didn't use SSL-Availability.
With the same configuration I've tried to install same application on a
Apache Tomcat 7.0.16 server. As it seems, everything works fine, at
least no Error-Messages has been returned. After re-starting Tomcat, and
after making sure, there are no reports of any kinds of errors in both
$CATALINA_HOME/logs/catalina.out and
$FEDORA_HOME/server/logs/fedora.log, I tried to run the fedora-admin.sh
shell-Script as before. It won't let me in! (My password won't be
accepted!). Same thing happens, if I try to create a new Object via
web-interface! Funny thing is, I can list the objects via browser
(http://localhost:8080/fedora/objects) and there is no report of any
error in my log-files!!
Any suggestions? Am I missing something? I've looked in the
"fedora-users.xml" and even copy-pasted the exact password from there,
still not working!!
