Yes, we looked at it, but we did not understand that it can be
implemented on 2 totally separated storage systems....
If I understand correctly, should we need to copy to the follower not
only journal files, but also resources to be injested as DS (e.g. PDF
files) ?

I absolutely agree, but in our case, we control all write operations
(performed only by batch at given times of week)
