's ok. FgsConfig/FgsConfigReposTemplate/repository.properties was the answer:
fgsrepository.trustStorePath
fgsrepository.trustStorePass
just have to decipher what ajax error: 0 means from the enduserSearch! no logs

Subject: [fcrepo-user] GSearch SSL
Is there any documentation on getting GSearch work over SSL? I've tried adding
the usual suspects to tomcat startup, javax.net.ssl.trustStore and all that, to
no avail. When I try to update the index from pid I get:
java.security.InvalidAlgorithmParameterException: the trustAnchors parameter
must be non-empty
fedoraBase in fgsconfig-basic.properties is set to https and tomcat has a self
signed cert. Shouldn't matter as I'm pointing the keystore/truststore at the
tomcat ones.
thanks,
Alistair
