Hi Jennifer,

you probably enabled Fedoras Access Control (XACML Policies). The problem
might be now, that your Client (Web browser) is denied access to API-M
methods. For your school project it should be fine to operate Fedora with
limited security. To switch off XACML Policy enforcement, edit the line in
fedora.fcfg:

from: “<param name="ENFORCE-MODE" value="enforce-policies"/>”

to: “<param name="ENFORCE-MODE" value="permit-all-requests"/>”

Check the documentation for more details on this topic (2.1
Enabling/Disabling XACML Policy Enforcement):

Ralf Claußnitzer

Betreff: [fcrepo-user] problem creating objects

Hello,

I am very new to Fedora Commons and to database building/managing in general
(I'm in grad school and this database will be my final project in a class)
and I am having trouble creating new objects in version 3.6.2. I get the
error "no pid is available to open a viewer." Also, in the fedora.log file,
I get an "accessed denied." From the documentation it seems like it might be
to do with the security features downloaded with Fedora Instant and I might
have to do some configuration but I am unsure how. Is there anyone who could
give me a step-by-step way to fix this so I can start creating objects? I
would appreciate any help. Thank you!
