Isn't Orca's magnifier getting phased out?

Yeah.  And whenever GNOME Shell rolls out their new accessibility
magnifier...well, it's gonna need compositing.  Like everything else.

Not to mention that without compositing, usable full-screen
magnification really isn't possible.  Orca lets you zoom in the screen
-- but at modern resolutions, it's a slideshow of a magnifier that
doesn't let you do much else very fluidly.
