--- Comment #190 from Patrick Garies <pgar...@fastmail.us> 2009-06-19 21:32:30 PDT --- @Comment #189: I would hope that Mozilla doesn't follow the Safari approach. It's very bad when you're on dial-up and have to sit there waiting for content just because someone feels that function should follow form. (And, contrary to an apparently popular misconception, not everyone in the world has broadband or even has it available.) For an example of what I mean, try looking at the examples at <http://www.alistapart.com/articles/cssatten> on a dial-up connection in Safari. You sit there staring at a blank box for a long time (i.e., up to 10 seconds) while you wait for a very small amount of text to display. In terms of rendering time, that's ridiculous. (And, to top it off, the fonts are less readable than the standard system fonts.) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ Fedora-fonts-bugs-list mailing list Fedora-fonts-bugs-list@redhat.com https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-fonts-bugs-list
