https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upgrading_from_pre-release_to_final In short, alpha/beta/snapshot/preview etc are just sanitized snapshots of rawhide and just before the release, fedora-release package (which holds the yum repository files) is automagically updated to point to the final release and combined with a mirror manager trick, you will be seamlessly upgraded to the new release without having to do anything.
