Hello everyone!

I am Anuraag. I'm currently a computer science graduate student at Stony Brook
University, and my journey into the world of FOSS began during Hacktoberfest by
contributing to small repositories. What struck me the most was the incredible
support and friendliness of the open-source community and how much knowledge
one gains when contributing. Recently, I had the pleasure of contributing to
BigBone, a Mastodon client library written in Kotlin. I was not very familiar
with Kotlin but still the maintainers were really helpful and guided me through
the project and I was able to make a pull request and learn a new language.

Fedora has been my main operating system for a while now, and Windows for
occasional gaming. My love for tinkering and experimenting is what drew me to
Linux. I had been distro hopping before, going from Ubuntu to Debian and
finally settled on Fedora. It felt the right blend between having the latest
packages and being quite stable at the same time.

I consider myself a bit of "jack of all trades, master of none," I have dabbled
in various domains like operating systems, compiler design, machine learning
and networks. In terms of programming languages, Python, C, and C++ are my
mainstays, but I'm always eager to learn and explore others.

For real-time chat, I'm open to any platform but matrix would be preferred. In
terms of commitment, I'm aiming to dedicate around 8-10 hours per week to
volunteering which can change based on whether I have exams or not. If anyone
has suggestions on where to start or would like to collaborate on a project,
I'm all ears! Let's build something great together!

Looking forward to getting to know all of you better and contributing to the
fantastic work happening within the Fedora community.
