Hello! My name is Joao Pedro Poloni Ponce but everybody calls me JP. I am 29 years old Software Engineer and have been using Linux distributions as my main OS since 2014 and Fedora for the last 2 years. I am very excited to join Fedora community.
I have done some very small stuff regarding FOSS when I worked as developer advocate back in 2020 like present open source code and spread its use for small audience such as company clients. This is the first big project related to FOSS I aim to contribute. I am currently working as Software Engineer and I have professional experience with Python and Javascript like rest servers, user interfaces with Angular and React. I am used to test driven development with pytest and jest. Regarding personal projects, I did some projects in Rust like CLIs, Kafka application and web servers and I am currently learning Go. I am used to follow news from mail list but not very used to post on it and this is the first time and doing it. I am used to Discord and Slack for real time chat and matrix is quite new to me.
