Partially a learning exercise, but mostly I want to freshen my iptables to
the latest stable and decided that I should go all the way through from
first principles ie. starting with the kernel.

Just about to hit the sack here (12:41 AM Sydney).  Will look at this
tomorrow...but did not notice any SPECS directory after installing the rpm.
Will check again in daylight.
