I suggest you look at one of the many available 3rd party repos such as ATrpms or Dag RPMs: http://www.atrpms.net/ http://dag.wieers.com/home-made/apt/ I know that Axel who manages ATrpms is usually willing to add updates for packages to his repo, so you might want to ask him.
