I think this would be a great project for Fedora Artwork group: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Artwork
They even have a sub-project of Artwork called Widgets, http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Artwork/Widgets , specifically focussing on graphical elements for web pages, but it is not really active, judging by the look of the page... Maybe if there was a concrete project for them, like spiffing up the look and feel of fedora-club.de , the artists would be inspired to create some awesome work?
