-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2008-5993 2008-07-08 23:56:31 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : perl-Moose Product : Fedora 9 Version : 0.51 Release : 1.fc9 URL : http://search.cpan.org/dist/Moose/ Summary : Complete modern object system for Perl 5 Description : Moose is an extension of the Perl 5 object system. Yes, I know there has been an explosion recently of new ways to build objects in Perl 5, most of them based on inside-out objects and other such things. Moose is different because it is not a new object system for Perl 5, but instead an extension of the existing object system. Moose is built on top of Class::MOP, which is a metaclass system for Perl 5. This means that Moose not only makes building normal Perl 5 objects better, but it also provides the power of metaclass programming. While Moose is very much inspired by Perl 6, it is not itself Perl 6. Instead, it is an OO system for Perl 5. I built Moose because I was tired or writing the same old boring Perl 5 OO code, and drooling over Perl 6 OO. So instead of switching to Ruby, I wrote Moose :) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Update to latest Moose and Class::MOP. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Sat Jun 28 2008 Chris Weyl <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 0.51-1 - update to 0.51 * Tue Jun 17 2008 Chris Weyl <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 0.50-1 - update to 0.50 - drop obviated test patch * Wed May 28 2008 Chris Weyl <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 0.44-2 - bump * Wed May 21 2008 Chris Weyl <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 0.44-1 - update to 0.44 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.
