-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2009-8885 2009-08-22 00:06:21 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : gnome-user-share Product : Fedora 11 Version : 2.26.0 Release : 3.fc11 URL : http://www.gnome.org Summary : Gnome user file sharing Description : gnome-user-share is a small package that binds together various free software projects to bring easy to use user-level file sharing to the masses. The program is meant to run in the background when the user is logged in, and when file sharing is enabled a webdav server is started that shares the $HOME/Public folder. The share is then published to all computers on the local network using mDNS/rendezvous, so that it shows up in the Network location in GNOME. The program also allows to share files using ObexFTP over Bluetooth. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: This update fixes the issue with non-functional authentization to password protected shares on localized desktop sessions. Please make sure to rebuild your passwd file (re-enter the password in Personal File Sharing preferences). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Wed Aug 19 2009 Tomas Bzatek <[email protected]> - 2.26.0-3 - Do not localize realm in passwd files (#500123) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #500123 - No access to read protected public shares https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=500123 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.
