Look at the size of most rpms. If push came to shove we could: 1. generate sets of app/icon metadata for each package 2. generate sets of app/icon metadata for each package of each group from comps (so you get all the apps from that group at once) 3. Do both. We're talking about 80-150MB in roughly 2000 files, iirc. The mirrors can soak that up.
