I've just released version 0.1.1, which fixes the licencing issues (standardises on LGPLv2.1) and adds a website: http://live.gnome.org/libgdata. Re. test suites, you can run the "general" test program, which makes no network requests (and will continue not to do so, since there are no "general" GData service providers).
